Several years ago as the laptop computer was gaining acceptance as an effective tool in k-12 education applications, a sales manager of a leading computer manufacturer called SPAN in a rather high state of anxiety. He explained that he was having difficulty competing because his laptop batteries lasted less than two hours in classroom use. Could SPAN help?
From scratch, in only a few weeks span delivered the first sixteen bay rapid laptop battery charger prototype which was immediately accepted. Production then began on the first of a product concept which was to become accepted by other leaders in the computer field world wide, the product that keeps laptops effectively operating continuously day and night.
The original customer was pleased enough to continuously praise Span for its effort and openly attribute much of his subsequent success in the education market to our products. This appreciation was not limited to the product alone. It was appreciated that calls for end user support, though rare, were handled entirely by span's Customer Service Department requiring no computer company involvement.
The relationship continued through years and countless model changes. The concept and relationships continue today.
